While evidence pointing to mourners on a remote mountain plateau in Central Asia that burned cannabis for its intoxicating fumes on a remote mountain plateau some 2500 years ago. Today, more than 150 million people regularly smoke cannabis, making it one of the world’s most popular recreational drugs. And while its psychedelic enchantment is well known, Its medical benefits are just recently coming to light.

In fact most common use for medical marijuana in the United States is for pain control, alleviating the chronic pain that plagues millions, especially as they age with no side effects.

Another area of research on its use is for PTSD. Most veterans who return from combat zones are usually plagued with this disorder, and many veterans and even their therapists report drastic improvement after treatments.

With so many practical uses why cant it be legalized completely and regulated

Black Power

The term black power isn’t a new found term , it actually dates back to 1954 when Richard wright’s non-fiction Black power was published, and also in 1965,when the Lowndes County Freedom Organization (LCFO) used the slogan Black Power for black people for its political candidates.

It is usually used by, but not exclusively by people of African/African American decent. It is a revolutionary movement that was birth from the wanting of safety and self sufficiency while celebrating culture and emphasizing racial pride.

Cheetah Extinction

It seems that even the fastest land animal on earth, the cheetah can out run extinction. Once running free on the plains of much of Africa and most of Asia, they are now confined to 6 African countries i.e Angola, Namibia, Zimbabwe, South Africa and just an isolated pocket in Asia.

And while they are poached for bush meat, the major reason for their gradual decline being Repurposed lands. People have repurposed the land that cheetahs used to prowl for agriculture and livestock uses. They are also killed by farmers if perceived as a threat to their livestock, it is rare that they go after domesticated animals though.

Big Idea: What is Black Power?

This will serve to inform people of other races the story and importance of the Black power Ideology to a person of color.
